Dear Community Partner,
We are the Sabawoon Afghan Family Education and Counselling Center, a non-profit organization promoting mental health and mental well being amongst the Afghan community.
Although mental health services are readily available throughout the GTA, it has been expressed that there is a particular need to address the unique challenges faced by the Afghan-Canadian community. As the younger generation of such, we are sure you are aware that many of these issues and challenges are rarely discussed openly in our community, due to the unfortunate stigma attached to Mental Illness.
Our vision is to see a vibrant and empowered Afghan-Canadian Community, and this begins with our youth.
